What is a Listing Template?

A Template is used in two very different ways:

1.  To create new listings with default values already filled in. In this case, you create the template with just enough info that is needed in all listings you create from this template. The created listings will then have the same info that the template had. For example, say you always list as FixedPrice, a specific category, using certain Item Specifics. You can fill in only those relevant fields and leave others unfilled. When you create a listing from such a template, the listing will have only the info that template has. You will then edit that listing and complete all the remaining details before submitting that listing to eBay. In this case, you will create the template using the "Listing Templates" tab, create the listing, switch to "Listings" tab, edit the created listing and finally submit the listing to eBay.
2.  Enter full details and use it as a vehicle to create completed listing in Wonder Lister and on eBay. In this case, you can do everything within the "Listing Templates" tab itself. Most users prefer to use it in this way.
